EXtraordinary New Conventional Generators
Generator performance just doesn’t get any better than this. The latest models of EX series overhead cam engines provide the power behind Subaru’s new line of conventional generators. Five new models are available to meet the demands of contractors, homeowners and recreational users.
The smallest model, the RGX3000, is powered by Subaru’s 6-horsepower EX17 engine. The unit delivers a maximum output of 3,000 watts (2,400-watt standard output rating) and offers 10.3 hours of continuous operation.
Powered by the 7-horsepower EX21, the RGX3800 delivers a maximum output of 3,800 watts (2,900-watt standard output rating) and can operate continuously for 9.5 hours.
The RGX5100 is powered by the 10-horsepower EX30 and delivers a maximum output of 5,000 watts (4,200-watt standard output rating), with a continuous operation time of 8.3 hours.
Powered by the 12-horsepower EX35, the RGX7100 delivers a maximum output of 7,100 watts (5,000-watt standard output rating) and provides 8.3 hours of continuous operation.
To cap off the line, the RGX7800 utilizes the 14-horsepower EX40 engine and delivers a maximum output of 7,800 watts (6,000-watt standard output rating). This unit can operate continuously for 7.5 hours.
Subaru insists on providing the highest quality equipment, built to perform in the most demanding of circumstances. That’s why each unit is constructed of heavy-duty steel, and includes a large zinc-plated steel fuel tank and durable electric components that feature copper windings with high temperature insulation. Reliable overload protection is provided by solenoid-actuated AC circuit breakers, and GFCI receptacles help ensure operator safety.
User-friendliness is another Subaru hallmark embodied by the new generators. The three largest units are available with either a recoil or electric starting system (models RGX5100E, RGX7100E and RGX7800E). Standard on all but the RGX3000, an automatic idle control lowers the engine speed when no electrical power is needed. This lessens costly fuel consumption while also keeping operation quieter.
Other standard features include an hour meter, low oil level sensor with automatic shutoff, and low-tone muffler with a U.S. Forestry-approved spark arrestor. Two-wheel kits are optional.
In addition to its conventional generators, Subaru also offers a line of inverter generators. All Subaru equipment is backed by the industry-leading, 3-year limited warranty that covers parts and labor.
